This collection compiles oil plein air studies from grant research focused on materiality, color, and a quick, intentional style. Inspiration came not only from the surrounding environment but also from the techniques of historic local artists who shaped the regional art of the Adirondack Mountains, including Harold Weston, Paul Matthews, and Rockwell Kent.
